$$Simple Smart Invoice

Privacy policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

In short: your business details, customers and invoices stay on your phone. There is no account and no cloud sync. Nothing you enter about your business, customers or invoices is sent to us or to an AI service, except what you say with voice typing, which Google or Apple may process (see “Voice typing” below).

Who we are

Simple Smart Invoice (“the app”) is published by its developer in Australia (“we”, “us”). Contact: simplesmartinvoice@gmail.com.

What the app keeps, and where

Everything you enter — your business details and logo, bank or PayID details, customers, invoices and their PDFs, saved items, your translations and settings — is stored only on your phone, in the app's private storage. We have no server that receives it, and we never see it.

A backup password you choose or the app makes is kept in your phone's secure storage (Android Keystore or iPhone Keychain). It never leaves your phone.

When the app uses the internet

Only for the following, and only when you use them:

The app has no advertising and no analytics of its own, and it does not track you. (Google's translation component sends Google anonymous statistics about how it performs: see “Translation packs” above.)

Backups

The app's own backup is encrypted on your phone with your password (Argon2id and ChaCha20-Poly1305) before you share it, so wherever you keep it — Google Drive, iCloud, email — only someone with the password can open it. We can't recover a lost password. Opening and restoring a backup happens on your phone; nothing is sent to us.

Your phone may also back up app data itself: on Android 9 or later with a screen lock, Android may back up the app's records and logo to your Google account (end-to-end encrypted); iPhone iCloud and computer backups include the app's data (end-to-end encrypted only with Advanced Data Protection). You control these in your phone's settings.

Permissions

Deleting your data

Deleting the app deletes all its data from your phone. Make a backup first if you need your records: Australian businesses generally need to keep business records for at least 5 years.

Children

The app is a business tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above, and say so in the app where the change matters to you.
